Boys & Mud....

So it's been a couple of weeks since I actually did this. But I wanted to post something about it anyway. I met my best friend and her two little boys a few weeks ago in a town not too far away. We took them to eat at a little mexican resturant and then came the fun. Shawna brought them extra clothes because we were taking them to the park......to play in the mud! It had been rainy and gross all week and we were determined not to let the rain stop us from playing! I just thought I would share a few of these pics because they make my heart happy! Alex & Logan had a blast and they got some extra goodies from their "Nisa" before they left to go back home. I love these two little guys. Enjoy the pictures.....

At Last....

At Last my love has come along.....

So 5 years ago Friday I was walking down the aisle to that very song. At Last by Etta James.....my how that song brings back so many memories! I thought since I haven't posted anything in a while I would go ahead and post something celebrating mine & Seth's 5 year wedding anniversary. In all my years of wishing and hoping and dreaming of "the perfect guy".....geez, my imagination never even got close. I couldn't have asked for a better man to call my husband. I love him more than words can express. So I'm going to leave you with some pics that we've taken over the years. I hope you enjoy. They bring a smile to my face just going through them.

It goes by fast....

So this week holds some memories for me. It's the 15 year anniversary of the OKC bombing and it's also been 15 years since 3 of my classmates were killed in an explosion in my home town. You know it's strange, it seems like just yesterday. I was in the 7th grade when both of these things happened. They happened in the same week. I can't believe that it has been 15 years. I remember going from class to class and just watching tv, just to see what the current world events were....the Oklahoma City bombing. I can remember my classmates crying. Some of them were worried about family members that were supposed to be up there that day. Others were just shocked and saddened that this was happening in our home state....right here in a city that we visited often. Those memories are very vivid. The other tragic events that I'm reminded of this week are those of 3 of my classmates that were killed in an explosion while riding thier bikes. I can remember seeing the smoke cloud on my way home from church. I can remember wondering what exactly it was..... I remember clearly the messages on my answering machine when I got home. As much as I would like to forget the words my friend Rachel said on that machine, I never will be able to. This week is always full of memories from the past. I always remember my 7th grade year, everything that happened that week. All the sadness, all the shock.....all those emotions. There's always one song I come back to every single time and it's the song they put in our yearbooks that year with our classmates pictures. I thought since this week I'm remembering all of this and also experiencing a new loss I'd share a song. I haven't shared lyrics in a while anyway. So here's the song that I always think of this time in April....

The Dance
Garth Brooks

Looking back on the memory of
The dance we shared 'neath the stars alone
For a moment all the world was right
How could I have known that you'd ever say goodbye

And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance

Holding you I held everything
For a moment wasn't I a king
But if I'd only known how the king would fall
Hey who's to say you know I might have chanced it all

And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance

Yes my life is better left to chance
I could have missed the pain but I'd of had to miss the dance

RIP Laura....

Today I found out a good friend of mine was killed in a car accident lastnight. She was the first person I made friends with at my current job. She was spunky and fun. She had lots of attitude and I loved her. I'm gonna keep this short and just say that she will be greatly missed. She made me laugh when I wanted to cry, she was a good friend. I will miss her greatly. RIP Laura Miller.

Sweet......

You know how sometimes life gets busy and things that you would normally enjoy doing every single day you suddenly miss? Well this week I've been working in the wonderful land of Walmart. It's been a long week. I've been extremely tired by the time I have gotten home every night. I haven't been able to keep my eyes open long enough to watch my celebrity trash tv shows, Gilmore Girls, or even cuddle with my adorable puppy. I did take time last weekend to take some pictures of my adorable pup and since I've been home this weekend I've taken the time to cuddle up with him and watch tv. I've gotten caught up on all my reality trash tv shows and tonight I'm going to watch Gilmore Girls & The Ugly Truth. I'm excited that I have gotten to get caught up on everything. It's been nice to get to enjoy the cuddle time with my sweet pup. And before you ask, he was posing in most of these pics.....he's quite the ham. I know I should probably get a hobby and quit making my dog take pictures.....oh well, he likes it.

And just so you know exactly how sweet he is....here's a picture of him with his very best buddy, George. They sit and cuddle outside all the time. They play and chase each other around the yard and Riley is never mean to George. He's a very gentle, sweet, loving dog. Yes, I know he's just a dog, but he's my dog and I love him.
