So it's not a secret that I have two little boys in my life that mean the world to me. Well last week we met up at the McDonald's in Chick and I have to tell you they truly made my heart happy. I was greated with huge hugs and smiles and "Nisa I've missed you".....those boys sure know how to make a girl feel loved! Anyway, I just thought I'd share some of the fun pictures we took while we were "playing" and just hanging out! We made silly faces and just enjoyed being together.....Oh and my best friend was there too, the boys are obviously not old enough to drive! I enjoyed getting to catch up with her too! It's been a while since we've been able to get together and this was a blast. We have fun together even if it's just sitting in McDonalds watching the gremlins play!

Cheesecake for my Mini's & my Aunt!!
Okay so I made the cheesecake lastnight and by the time it was done it was too late to post about it. So here's some pictures for my Mini's & my Aunt to see what they have to look forward to on their trip to Oklahoma tomorrow!!
Melting the caramel for the bottom of the cheesecake!
Mixing the cheesecake batter....
The yummy crust!!
Caramel is almost ready!
Now for the chocolate!
This is what I did to the bottom....it looks so good!
I poured about half the batter in and then did this....
Then more batter and caramel....let's face it you can't have too much caramel!
This is what it looked like when I took it out of the oven. Who cares if it's cracked....cheesecake doesn't have to be perfect! I plan on putting a little chocolate on top with some nuts to make it the turtle cheesecake I was going for. I hope it tastes as good as it looks!!

Birthday! and many other things.....
Me on my birthday.....how old do I look??
So it's been a while since I blogged. The reason for that....well, there's a lot of reasons really. Let's start with my birthday month....if you don't already know, I LOVE my birthday. I had a good one this year. We actually got to have a party the day of my birthday. My parents cooked out and invited family over. It was great. My Mammaw & I always share our party because her birthday is only 2 days after mine. I love that we share the parties. Anyway, I got a sewing machine for my birthday. Something I've been wanting for a couple of years now. I thought that was pretty awesome. Then my Mammaw also gave me some quilt squares she's been working on for a while. It really meant a lot to me to get those. I truly cherish things like that. Now let's hope I don't screw it up when I start learning to quilt!
In other news, I am off work until August 9th. I took some time off to enjoy my summer and plus who wouldn't want to take time off and get paid? So far I've spent a lot of time cleaning and cooking (I LOVE to cook!) and of course I've been in the pool almost every day. Tonight is my alone night while my hubby is working and I am making a turtle cheesecake for my mini-me's and my aunt that are coming up on Sunday. I'm hoping it turns out. Don't worry there will be pictures for you to drool over as soon as I take it out of the oven! I'm also going to make my Pawpaw a blackberry cobbler from the Pioneer Woman's amazing cookbook. (Here's the link to the Pioneer Woman's Blackberry Cobbler) I thought since I have the house to myself I'd crank up my music and start baking.....I know I'm a little strange because I love cooking so much!
Oh we've been going out to my husband's best friends land a lot lately. I thought I'd share some of the pictures I have taken while there. So here are those. I hope you enjoy and after the cheesecake is done I'll post some more about that!
Just some "weeds" growing out at Bailey. They looked like tiny daisies so I picked them and took a picture!
I took this for my little "nephew", Logan. Can you see the tiny grasshopper? He's yellow.
